Job Title Operations Director

This is an opportunity for an experienced Operations Leader to join a landmark destination in the heart of Dublin to lead their food and beverage team. While you will hold a small number of direct reports, you will ultimately be responsible for leading and motivating a team of over 100 staff. You will work alongside the Sales and Marketing, HR and Finance functions striving to provide a wonderful customer experience time and time again for every patron.

The Position

  • Create expectations, lead people, train employees, manage processes and hold people accountable for the agreed upon activities and timetables.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at all times.
  • Communicate with the MD and leadership team regarding issues, risk and liability concerns that could impact the operation as they arise.
  • Consistently monitor Quality Assurance Program results, create and execute action plans where needed.
  • Ensuring everything is fully prepared for each days operations
  • To be aware that the atmosphere of the business meets company standards at all time such as cleanliness, lighting, temperature and music, gathering information from the MoD on a daily basis.
  • Ensure staff are performing all duties to a consistently high standard and maximize revenues in all areas and encourage up-selling.
  • Along with your AGM's, execute professional and efficient complaint handling.
  • Use technology effectively to communicate and manage throughout the business.
  • Use business analysis, competitor and consumer insights to provide understanding, direction and guidance around key initiatives.

The Person

  • Must have 5-10 years' experience in hospitality operations management, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Authority, presence, maturity and toughness - actions rather than action plans.
  • Evidence of having built a strong operational team.
  • High energy levels and accustomed to non-standard working hours and effort ("whatever it takes" mentality).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and motivating skills are essential.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Amenable to working unsocial hours on a rostered basis (e.g. early mornings, evenings, some weekends)
