Head of HR Governance & Reward

The Role:

You will lead the set up of a new HR Governance & Reward team within HR. The HR Governance & Reward team will be responsible for Reward and act as an internal line of defence in terms of best practice and adhering to regulations and legislation within HR. The team will provide the following to the HR function:

  • Reward Strategy and Operations
  • Risk and Compliance
  • HR Risk Management Information
  • HR Process Continuous Improvement
  • Strategy and Leadership
Reward Strategy and Operations:

  • Define and develop Reward Strategies that will promote a high performance culture / develop a Total Reward Framework creating an integrated and coherent framework for the Bank's total reward offering to staff encompassing primary, performance based and career focussed aspects of Reward and Recognition
  • Lead the delivery of Regulatory Reward Obligationsthrough the evaluation of existing and emerging regulations and legislative requirements
  • Provide expert input to the preparation of Reward related papers/activities for the ExCoand the Remuneration Committee and attend to present as required
Risk and Compliance

  • Responsible for ensuring HR meetsall relevant Regulations/Legislation and Guidelines.
  • Ensure a fit for purpose Health and Safety Frameworkis in place across all areas within.
  • Oversee all operational Risks with HR, identification, remediation and mitigation of HR risks.
HR Risk Management Information

  • Lead on the determination of HR Key Risk Indicators for Level 1 and Level 2 Metrics in accordance with the Group's Risk Appetite Statement
  • Monitor HR Key Risk Indicators on behalf of HR, engage with HR management as appropriate to develop strategic updates for provision to the Group's Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC)
  • In time, migrate the Centre of Excellence for MI / Analytics to the Risk, Governance and Reward area
HR Process Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the business and the HR Leadership team to identify, plan and deliver a step change in how HR service is delivered.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a process improvement capability, LEAN methodology and Root Cause Analysis frameworkfor HR.
Strategy and Leadership

  • Champion the establishment and communicationof the strategy, goals and objectives for the HR Governance team.
  • Lead the strategic alignmentof the HR Governance approach with the Group's strategy and objectives.
  • Drive the HR Transformation projectespecially in relation to the Governance aspect of change.
Technical Knowledge

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification or accreditation would be an advantage
  • Proven record implementing Operational Excellence tools, techniques.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the Risk environment in which operates.
  • In-depth understanding of the governance and regulatory standards applicable to the role.
