Role Purpose
Reporting to the Billing Lead, the Billing Administrator ensures that all designated customers are invoiced correctly. The role will manage its own customers impacting tasks supporting the team in ensuring that all invoices are produced by the contractual deadline. This role is part of a team of Billing Administrators handling invoices of BGE’s Residential, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Industry & Commercial (I&C) Customers.

Key accountabilities
• Ensures that all designated customers are invoiced correctly and accurately within specified timescales.
• Manages specific tasks to ensuring that all invoices are produced by the contractual deadline
• Assists in clearing any outstanding unbilled sites to reduce delays and ensure billing exceptions are resolved in a timely manner.
• Assists in completing Billing To Dos to ensure customers receive timely bills
• Takes ownership of issues and have a solution driven attitude
• Strives to achieve and exceed daily targets
• Adherences to Quality standards in all dealings with internal & external customers
• Adheres to SLA’s for vendors and customers queries, ensuring targets are met within agreed SLAs
• Manages daily escalation queues – dealing specifically with billing issues
• Responds to phone/email customer queries and complaints
• Establishes and grows relationships with vendors and external suppliers - ESB and GNI
• Manage escalated complaints
• Continuous support of Billing Team
• Assumes other duties as may also be assigned from time to time

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Experience in power & utilities, energy or telecom market is desirable
• Knowledge of BGE tariffs both gas and electricity, residential and commercial
• Demonstrable end user knowledge of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) would be advantageous
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills - experience communicating in clear, concise manner
• Ability to interface professionally and positively with internal teams across the wider BGE business
• Personal Accountabilities - the role requires attention to detail
• The role has a direct impact through the responsibility of the quality of the tasks performed; work closely with the Billing team and supporting teams
• Excellent planning and organisational skills - ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Results orientated, efficient, dynamic individual who is motivated by target achievement
• Excellent numeric skills and knowledge of principles involved in compliance and risk management
