Well known FMCG company is looking to hire experienced Assistant Financial Analyst to join their team in South of Dublin

Summary of the role:

• Assist in financial month end close, including journal posting, PO raising and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Perform analytical review of financial results to identify anomalies in trends and inconsistencies with previous months, prior year & previous forecasts
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the external and internal audit process
• Responsible for distribution of daily sales reports to the wider business
• Working closely with the Financial Controller Analyst, to manage and maintain clear timetable for all data submissions ensuring alignment to meeting f/cast cycle and month end business updates
• Responsible for ensuring integrity of actual data set prepared & circulated to the business
• Responsible for driving process improvement initiatives to drive greater automation of end to end reporting and forecast process
• Preparation of the daily, monthly, quarterly suite of business performance reports
• Support the financial month end close
• Keeping the business fully informed with relevant and insightful data as and when required
• Support ad-hoc projects requiring any in-depth financial analysis to arrive at best business decision
• Look for continuous improvement in the delivery of timely financial analysis to key business decision makers in an efficient manner
• Interact with other departmens, especially: Sales and Mangement; Marketing; Sales, GB Finance in month end financial reporting process

• Part qualified accountant
• FMCG experience in a multinational organisation is a plus
• Preferably 2 years' experience working in commercial P&L environment
• Experience in SAP, though not essential, would be a distinct advantage
• High level PC skills, specifically in Excel
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, used with judgment, to deal with complex problems
• High attention to detail
• Comfortable working with large volumes of data to shape into meaningful business information
• Ability to work unsupervised, with limited direction at times, towards a specified goal
